anyone tried out gl552vw bios 216 in regards to ssd support?

Has anyone tried out the new 216 bios in regards to ssd support. I gave up on the 950 pro, but now I am wondering if there was any improvement.

The GL552 and GL752 models are compatible with SATA III only. If Samsung is your preferred brand for SSDs, I recommend you take a look at the Samsung 850 EVO.

Thanks for the response. I was just confused because of the shape of the slot. The wiki entry refers to it as M key, which looks like the 950 and 951. However, it does not list an x4 slot in hw info. Will the B & M keyed samsung 850 work in that slot? I didnt see an M keyed 850 listed on amazon.

No problem! Yes, the B+M keyed Samsung will work with either a B or M keyed slot. Many users on the forum are reporting success with installing the 850 EVO on the GL552 and the GL752.
