64GB, a positive post

I don't post often, but I look in every day or two and see if I can help (or maybe confuse someone).

I decided to go ahead and order another 32GB of memory to fill all 8 memory slots. I've read more negative than positive in regards to filling all 8 slots.

Anyway.... My G.Skill sticks (F4-2400C15Q-32GRK) came today. I popped them in fired the beast up (XMP enabled) and now have 64GB of memory.

I'm running my 5960x at 4.5G.

I guess I should run a stress test. I did play a modded Far Cry 2 at max settings for several hours.

To back you up, I also have a positive experience with 64GB using 2 cheap Crucial 2133MHz/CAS15 4x8GB Kits running at 2400MHz 11/11/11/27/CR2

Aida throughputs are between 65-70MB/s and it is stable in GSAT.

For your stress test you can run HCI memtest but it will take forever with 64GB, I prefer GSAT if it passes one or two hours then you are pretty sure that your memory is stable. GSAT stress only the memory not the cache or core. If you found that GSAT passed but HCI memtest failed there is a good chance that cache is not stable.

Anyone else with a good 64GB experience?
