issues with Keybot with Logitech wireless MK520 (keyboard / mouse combo)

I was intrigued by the idea of turning on my PC from the S5 state, so I enabled this functionality in the BIOS of my Maximus Hero VIII and installed the Keybot software.

However, I'm finding that while I can indeed power on the computer with the keyboard, the mouse goes dead about 5 to 10 seconds after the desktop appears.

Does this simply just not work with two devices on the same Logitech Unifying receiver, or is there a fix?

edit to add:
I've noticed that when Keybot is turned on, the Logitech Unifying software stops recognizing the Unifying receiver. As soon as I turn Keybot off, the receiver is detected again.

Keybot works best with legacy keyboards. Running those fancy gamer keyboards or wireless keyboards can cause problems.
