Q code 40 ?

Hello hello.
I just started this machine up from a cold start. Was shut down properly last night.
I started it up and noticed bios took a little longer to post than usual.
OS booted up and everything was running fine. But Q code read 40.
I restarted and all is fine, Q code is now AA.

Anyone know what would cause that?

Check the manual - I believe it is a code for waking from a sleep state. Page 1-33

Yes, you are right, I didnt see that.
Strange, I did not put the machine to sleep. I know I shut it down correctly.

In Windows 10, fast boot is enabled by default, which works by a form of hibernation/sleep.

Ahh, I understand now.
it is not an error code but more of an information code.Thank You.
I disabled fast boot in the OS and now it is back to normal AA code.
Boot time IS a LITTLE longer, not much. I can easily live with it . The 950 pro is a quick booter in itself anyway.
