Angry Maximus VIII Extreme Sound Problem

    Hey there friends!

I have the following Problem. I installed everything correctly Realtek/SonicSuite etc.
So first of all i experienced that after i boot up and type in my Password on Win10 that i have
a heavy input/keyboard lag. If i hit WindowsKey and type someth it takes more than 10 seconds with heavy lag.
Fun Fact i uninstalled Realtek Audio Driver and its gone. Instant smooth.

Second Problem i only get Sound on my Left Speaker/Headphone tested even i turn Balance to only right no Sound. On Windows Test the same on Sonic Suite the same aswell. Its just dead. i plugged everything into the green Jack.

If i unplug the Sound and use Sound on my Monitor Speakers thru Displayport i get a left and right test sound. But im still not sure if that is related to the onboard.

Is there anything known yet of my issues? couldnt find anything. Somehow i cant uninstall Sonic Suite.

    My Rig

    32GB Corsair Dominator 2667MHZ
    SSD 950 PRO 512GB

BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 11 650W
    All on Watercooling.

    Thanks for any help

I have had many audio issues as well with the drivers, but windowsdefault drivers work perfectly fine.

    Please see my thread:
    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...or-audio-files

You can try some of those troubleshooting tips to see if it makes anything different. Many others seem to be having audio issues with the drivers, yet on windows default audio drivers, they experience no issues.

I went through a lot and got a confirmation from Asus that they have replicated the issue and will be looking into it. They even showed me the replication of the issue for me to confirm it. But this is my issue listed in my thread, which is different from yours, but the same driver is causing issues.

This will just help point to if it's a driver specific issue or not.

Obviously configure the speakers properly in the sound options on windows, which you seem to have tinkered with already.

I'm assuming you've tried your speakers elsewhere to confirm they work properly, as well as checking all connections. If not, try on another working PC that has not had this issue before.

If windows default drivers work good, stick with those until Asus addresses the driver issue. Like I said, they have replicated my issue and confirmed it with me, so they will be looking further into it. Other than that, try my other troubleshooting tips on my other thread I directed you to in the prior post.

Let me know if you come across any findings!

Ok something very interesting happened. I uninstalled the Realtek plugged my Headphones in and still just left side working.

    - I plugged my Harman & Kardon 2.1 Speakers in with the use of a 3m extension cable. both working yey.
    - i plugged my Headphones in WITH the extension cable and working aswell.

So this behaviour is weird ? maybe the extension cable draws more impedance? ohm? i have no idea how this works.
    out of technical ideas atm.

So, the headphones don't work properly when plugged in directly, but with an extension cable they cut out the right side?

I would read into the headphones and what they're capable of doing. They may not be able to draw across a 3m cable, I'm not sure.

Look into the limit on lengths of cables that can be support for your headphones, and also what your headphones draw to work properly.

Hope you figure it out! That is weird though.

The Speaker System just works on the left side aswell if plugged directly. So does the Headphones they are Sony MDR EX650 they work on my 2nd computer very well. So its coming from the jack/onboard chip. I guess ill stick with the 50cm extension to fix this. lol
