LOL thank you chrsplmr and Arne
Yeah I'm loving the maximus viii formula, I'm game stable at 4.8GHz with 1.475v. I put it on hold for a bit to see how it's going to run and it's been great, I can play any game so far with no crashes. The voltage is yellow up to 1.50v and purple up to 1.60v so as long as my cooling can handle it I think it's safe to go there.
I installed HWinfo and with precision x 16 I can now see cpu temps while playing games and they're in the 30's and 40's and sometimes touch 50c when playing far cry 4 so this tells me I can push a little higher. As always though I'm a little scared of those high voltages.
I did try for 4.9GHz but couldn't get to windows with 1.52v so now that I'm at least game stable I might give it a shot again. As Akane@ASUS's signature says "KEEP PUSHING IT".
I was using three 680's in my maximus v extreme and had my 3770k at 5.0GHz. But it doesn't feel like I lost a gpu at all, even though both setups peg games at 60FPS, with two 680's and the 6700k at stock it feels faster.
Ok enough talk let's try for 4.9GHz again.Last edited by Nate152; 02-04-2016 at 08:16 AM.

4.9GHz is out of reach, at 4.85GHz I could not make it to windows with 1.54v and I got a cpu overvoltage error showing 1.552v in red. So it looks like my 6700k has hit the wall. On the bright side I was able to overclock the BCLK a little further so let's see how far we can get the BCLK.
Let's try the BCLK at 150.00, here goes.

Is anyone else overclocking their BCLK and if so how far are you able get it? I'm not done testing yet but I did get it to 150.00 rather easily. Real temp is not reading the cpu frequency correctly but it does seem to be reading the temps correctly.
BCLK - 150.00
CPU - 4.8GHz
CPU Cache - 4.5GHz
RAM - 3150MHz

Yeah I'm seeing what it can do, I just wish the 6700k was a little better overclocker, I haven't seen hardly any getting to 5.0GHz.
So I Played far cry 4 for about a half hour and just before I was getting ready to quit it froze. So I went into the bios and was adjusting some settings that said may help with BCLK overclocking but when I saved and exited it would not start, it would turn on for a second and then shut off. So after 4 or 5 attempts I cleared the cmos and am now back to square 1. I been trying to find what voltages help with BCLK overclocking and it could be the PCH core. I'm not 100% sure so I will have to test it, It seems it was right on the edge of stability for gaming so it shouldn't need much.

Hey Nate, just a quick question man, what time does it take your PC to boot? Mine is almost 30 seconds with every stuff to make it faster (BIOS and OS) enabled. I find it weird because my Windows 7 (in a Sabertooth z77 + 3770 + worse SSD) booted in half the time.

Yeah mine takes longer to boot than my maximus v extreme did , I believe it's due to memory training of DDR4 ram.

All right so I thought I would give an update. The instability was due to the Ram being set to 1T, I've now set the ram to 16-15-15-30-2T and was able to play far cry 4 for over an hour with no crashes, this might let me go higher with the frequency.
Now to push the BCLK a little higher, I'll post my results after testing.
Anyone else overclocking the BCLK?
