My new ROG M8 Hero Alpha Build!

My New Hero Alpha Build! First time posting pics on here. It's nothing too fancy or custom, but it's my baby! In my Corsair 650D case from my older Hero Vi build atm. Planning on upgrading to something different in the future. I have considered doing some custom modding. Just haven't had the time for it yet! The RGB headers are pretty cool. I have a single red strip that breathes with both the ROG and Corsair Logos on the mobo/pump. It looks pretty cool. I plan on improving the lighting a bit soon.

Ive seen some mods for this case that I like. Some people use a Dremel tool to cut out the screen where the big front fan mounts. It would still have the removeable filter on the cover to keep dust levels down. Ive also seen people replace the drive bay covers with screened ones that match the front screen. Some even install another fan in the drive bay afterwards to pull more air through the case. Id be interested in that type of mod.

Awesome SinisterDev !

My dust covers are the same way, I just use the vacumm cleaner and the soft brush attachment, that works pretty good. The don't look dusty but the flash from the camera sure makes them look it.

I went with a blue and black theme with the maximus viii formula. I'll just post the thread instead of uploading all the pics again lol.

The pics start on the first page and continue on the second.

Thanks Nate! Yeah I like that many cases are including dust covers now. It really helps keep the dust levels down inside the case. And yeah theyre really easy to vacuum. My wife's Pc has the Hero Vi and the 4790k in it now. We went with the Blue and black theme on hers. I'll post some pics !

I resolve problem with dust on front fan on 650D...
I cut plastic parts with dremel and only plastic frame stay with antidust wire.
But because that filter is not enough I keep 200mm Demciflex filter below.

Image

Once a week I remove that and clean back side with brush and demciflex with alcohol.
Demciflex stay on grill inside and it's easy to remove if need.

Image

And when you look from front side no way to see grey dust or plastic grill.

I would never replace my Obsidian 650D for some normal case...
NEVER! That need to be something very nice as some nice Lian-Li or Caselabs... For Thermaltake, CM, or these new plastic CORSAIRS... NEVER.
Obsidian 650D could be modified so nice... his main flaw is lack of 360mm radiator on top and too big cage for DVD. But that could be fixed. Internal USB 3.0 wires from I/O Panel could be removed and install wire from
Obsidian 350D. Hot swap bay and fan controller removed and 360mm radiator will fit. One cage for HDD removed and other could be base for watercooling pump. Case is really cool.

And voila! Its quieter and my idle temps have dropped a couple degrees! Woot woot!
