G-SYNC Upgrade on ROG G751JY/JT Laptops Now Available!

Alright, ending a bit sooner than I hoped, hopefully I can afford to mail it out before the 31st.

when asus contacts u they will email u instructions and pick up the laptop when they are ready for the upgrade and return it when upgrade is finished shipping cost is not really that much, I sent u a phone #s in PM if u want the toll free # for Asus service centre in Markham let me know

I hope I can still get G-Sync update because Asus Finland is on vacation this whole month. And offer ends on this month. So what we can do?

So, today 19.07.2016 i received my Laptop back.

The upgrade was made by LetMeRepair GmbH. It is in Netherlands. Not far from us (Germany).

The Problem is:

My G751JY-T7059H I7-4710HQ Mainboard was exchanged. I have received G751JT I7-4710HQ Mainboard. G751JY ----> G751JT

And now i have a problem.

Sure i have a G-Sync now, but GeForce Experience and Device-Manager shows me the Graficcard GTX 970M now. But my Device had GTX 980M before.

II contacted that survice center via phone and they said to me, we have changed only Mainboard. It's ok i understand. But why my Device-Manager shows me GTX 970M Graficcard

and not my GTX 980M right ? It should be. That Mainboard G751JT I7-4710HQ comes with the GTX 970M Graficscard when you buy new Laptop.

So, they said to me... send us those screenshots, where ur device shows GTX 970M, what i surely have done.

Now i'm realy disappointed.

I mean they changed mainboard, it's ok i understand, but Device-Manager should show me my GTX 980M 4GB Graficcard and not GTX 970M.

And they claim also, that the changed only Mainboard.

What a great experience that upgrade.

So, should i insist, that they fix that problem or what should i do now ???

Any sugestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: I have received a phone call from ASUS Hotline service and they have confirmed, that the wrong mainboard was installed on my device,

so now i should claim with my RMA number to fix that problem and sent my notebook again.

Yes, if you will send your notebook from Germany, it will upgraded in LetMe Repair GmbH in Germany, like mine. This is the main upgrade center for Germany.
Maybe you will be lucky and everything will be o.k. with upgrade of your notebook, but i do not know, i can only guess.

I told them that my notebok is G751JY, so why its G751JT mainboard is installed on my device and now it shows GTX970M 3GB and not GTX980M 4GB???

Cause if you look online the G751JT model comes with GTX 970M GPU. Mine is G751JY with GTX 980M.

They said to me send us your screenshots.

After that, than i sent my screenshots, that now i have GTX 970M 3GB and not my GTX 980M 4GB,

they have confirmed of wrong installed mainboard on my notebook.

Now i must send my notebook again.

I wrote tech support again and i'm waiting for an answer right now.

in germany it gives how many letme repair? but the specialists who are noobs in my eyes are in netherland? cmon and the named asus support is the cimring gmbh? wtf? and why i must pay netherland tax and not german? this smells like ****...end of comment with this service firma asus has payed for the same bad image like other companys
what is the thing with that inkasso in the invoice? have seen this today! in email from mr. schänzer he wrote that the invoice expire after one week? im confused only baddest news in www about let me repair company they are gangsters they make their victims poor.

Yes, indeed LetMe Repair GmbH lokated in Germany (Bautzen). Sorry to missleading you. It's not Netherlands.

There is also their address on my bill and invoice.

I payed 90€ for upgrade and 4€ for shipping costs + 21% VAN/BTW - 19,74€ (i do not know for what this BTW (Fees) are stand for, cause if i leave in Germany and repair service also

located in Germany, there must be no fees ????... maybe i'm wrong... i do not know).

Total amount wich i have payed for this upgrade is 113,74€.

But if you need this upgrade you must pay in advance, it's their rule. Otherwise you will not have the opportunity to upgrade your device.

They picked up my notebook on 07.07.16 with DHL.

08.07.16 my notebook was there. I have received my notebook on 19.07.2016 form the upgrade back.

Actually it was not to long for waiting. But, you see, they have installed wrong mainboard, so i must go through the whole procedure again.

My only complain that they have installed wrong mainboard and my device show me GTX 970M GPU and not GTX 980M.

I mean how they can install the wrong mainboard ?!?!?!? There are the serial numbers on it, just open your eyes, thats it.
