Great to hear that. What model is it, JY or JT?
Here in Italy there are still a few weeks before the upgrade program begins. When it comes back let us know and test the G-Sync for us

So... I dropped an email to Asus Romania. Got a response on the same day (nice). It boils down to the fact that they have knowledge about the upgrade program, but they don't have any specifics on it, if or not it's going to be available in Romania.
    Good response, good job.
My question is.... does it have to be available in Romania, I take frequent trips to Holland, job related, can I just drop my laptop of in a service center from there?
Or ... for 100 Euro upgrade.. witch is actually a significant upgrade and would cost around 1000 Euro ( from what i read on this tread), can I just send my laptop in a country that has the program running already, and get it upgrade it that way ??

It's nice to use the original box just because it's made to fit the machine but IMO even that should be placed inside another box. I've seen some that got their laptops with just the factory packaging with a shipping label applied which I find to be insufficient.

Regardless they wouldn't make it a requirement as so many just toss the box, especially when it's several months later. My wife gives me a hard time because I always save original packaging at least until the warranty expires.

If you don't have the original box you can wrap it in bubble wrap and put it inside of a box and then put that box inside of another box with more packing material like foam peanuts if you want to really protect it. That should prevent moisture, shifting of packing material, crushing, or shock from damaging it.

Also, as Justin mentioned I wouldn't ship it in just the bare laptop box because the box could be damaged AND it tells everyone that there is something very valuable inside. Most postal employees are honorable but some do steal.

Yes for you the closest center is in the US, but I got more possibilities ( Italy, Holland, Czech, Germany). I was referring to Europe, if I can sent my laptop in one of these countries.

So how exactly is this upgrade happening??? Like, are they gonna replace the Screen(Monitor) to a new one that supports g-sync? or are they gonna do something software wise??because once there were Hacked nVidia drivers that allowed g-sync without any upgrade to hardware.
I live in India and i highly doubt that the service center here would know about the upgrade plan that is going on. and i don't think i can afford it to send it somewhere else, I need it everyday for my work.
