Sorry I added confusion talking about Bluetooth. Bluetooth is related to the PS4 controller, not the Xbox controller which is what this thread is about.

The Xbox One controller uses a proprietary USB dongle for wireless transmission.

I have the latest drivers and I flashed the latest Bios (from a few days ago, released in March) but no improvement.

The issue is there when the controllers are plugged in as well. Same if one is plugged in and one is wireless. It doesn't matter which USB port I use.

The first controller that's plugged in (or paired) works; the 2nd one shows up, but none of the buttons work.

After last cumulative Windows upate something strange happened.
    - both controllers are recognized (no change)
    - one works as previously (no change)
    - second doesn't react on buttons, but in Controller's settings there is no error about improper connection any more (new behaviour)

    Whats more.
Of course second gamepad doesn't work in games, but if I press xbox buton and enter menu (screen record) all buttons works in this menu (new behaviour).
There is some progres, but still gamepad is useless.

    Hi all,

First of all English is not my native language so excuse me for the grammar etc.

I have exactly the same issue and will explain it, hoping it help finding a solution.
I use multiple xbox controllers to play rocket league with friends on my desktop.
I've build a new gaming computer last week. The issue is that only 1 controller works. The second controller for example, is connected and recognized by windows but just doesn't do anything. This is Windows 10, where this should be plug and play.

In windows - > Devices and printers -> properties of controller I see 2 controllers. I can open 1 to see which buttons you're pressing, but the other one gives a error. from Dutch translated it says: The gamesetup is not connected properly. (De spelinstelling is niet goed aangesloten)

    What I've tried so far:
    - Reboot
    - Reinstall drivers
    - Delete drivers & Reboot
    - Use second controller via wireless dongle
    - Choose the other available driver in W10
    - I've downloaded the xbox accessoires app in the windows store - both devices are recognized and up-to-date.
    - When I can use mine, and the second one doesn't work, I unplug them and switch them. The second one works properly then, and mine doesn't.

While writing this, I remember that when I was reviewing the logs I found something odd about something that was being installed with the AI Suite software.
I'm going to uninstall and see if it does anything. I'll keep you updated.

Removing the usb controller software, installed with the AI Suite fixed this problem for me.
You should try removing it or the whole AI Suite software.

I hope it solves the problem for you too.

    Yes, this is it!
AI Suite uninstallation fixed all issues immediatelly.
    Thank you very much.
Finally I can use my gaming PC in player vs player mode.
