    SEVERE "asus gpu tweakII removal tool" (format-like) BUG

    as by title, yesterday i encountered a serious bug that actually "formatted" the entire disk. here's what's happened:

    1- launched the tool "remove the gpu tweakII?" yes
    tool removed

    2- re-launched as administrator "remove * *? i thought, "what?" but i'd already "okeyd" it.
    after a few seconds the os continued on running but everything was being deleted, almost instantly. 95% of the space was freed.

    luckly, the secondary hdd was still locked (bitlocker) and i had (almost) everything backed-up online. i then realized that that "* *" was "all" in IT language.. like "delete *.*" which means delete everything.

    now, ASUS, what the hell of a programmer did write that tool? do you even realize what happened? i had to format and reinstall EVERYTHING, plus, personal videos which were not yet backed up went MIA.

    what am i supposed to do now? i don't even know why i downloaded that tool in first place, as "geek uninstaller" is almost the perfect uninstaller/cleaner tool out there. i really hope that i'll be able to recover that videos as they're part of my life's memory.

    I did not have a problem with the tweak removal tool. PM this Rog Member hes working with Asus Software Development ASAP

    UPDATE DO NOT USE ASUS REMOVAL TOOL. Worked on one Asus PC , Deleted ALL MY C Drive on another PC Drive.

    The VGA team is working on a fix. For the meanwhile, stay away from the tool.

    Tweak Removal Tool Has Been Removed For All Asus Down Load Links. Because of our Deleted C:/ Drive .
    The users Above chrsplmr and Chino were very helpful , they have inside contacts at Asus , wish I was a smart cookie like those 2 .. he he
    I noticed a line In removal tool uninstaller , "remove all" hmmm

    I haven't used the removal tool for the uninstall of the GPU Tweak II, just did it from Program & Features....but, i have used it to check whenever GPU Tweak II was sucessfully uninstall, which had been confirmed by the removal tool with a pop-up windows.
    Then after reboot i could install the newer version.
    Asus Dual RX480 O4G - Core i5 3570K - P8Z77-V LE PLUS - (still on 2019)

    ASUS GPU Tweak II Remove Tool could help you uninstall GPU Tweak II completely before update to a new version.
    Removing unrelated files issue has been solved
