    Nice work!

There were some benchmark increases overclocking the FSB on the old AMD Phenom II platforms.
However, not sure there are gains to be had on these newer Intel chipsets with BCLK overclocking.

I've got 255MHz BCLK on 1.40 PLL Termination, 1.1 PCH Core, 1.2 CPU Standby, and PLL Bandwidth 6. I've decided that the max I'm going to go is 1.45 PLL Termination.

Yeah 1.45v is the first red voltage for PLL Termination, in the guide it says you can take it to 1.70v. I've tried higher settings than yours and mine fails to boot with 250 BCLK so I've scaled it back to 200.

I'm not sure what's going on but in the guide it says we should be able to hit around 400 BCLK on air, I can't get near that and I'm on water.

Turns out I was very close to my board's maximum already. At 1.4v PLL Term it would boot at 255 but not at 260. I never tried any between that until just now. Even at 1.45 it would only boot at 256. I was able to boot at higher BCLKs before I reverted to the 1202 BIOS. Oh well.

Right now I'm at 256MHz BCLK, 1024MHz FCLK, 1.44v PLL Termination, 1.1v PCH Core, 1.225v CPU Standby, and PLL Bandwidth 6. I haven't done any stability testing yet -- I've just been "boot testing" so far. Time to make sure I'm not screwing up my Windows install or programs with errors.

How do you adjust the FCLK, I only see three settings 400MHz, 800MHz - (normal), 1000MHZ, neither one of these had any effect on booting with 250BCLK.

So how on earth do we get to 400 BCLK?

The fclk setting is basically a multiplier. If you set it to 400mhz it will give you 4x your bclk, 800mhz will give 8x your bclk and 1ghz will give you 10x your bclk. So the standard setting is 1ghz which gives 10x the normal bclk of 100 so gives 1000mhz fclk. Apparently having it set to auto will make it set it as close to the 1ghz as it can get but I've not tried it.

I am still on the 1402 bios so fclk settings don't save for me and I really can't be bothered to re-flash my bios back to 1202 when I already have my system completely stable at 4.9ghz/1.360v on the cpu and my 2400mhz/1.2v rated ram is running at 2900mhz/1.33v. If at some point a new bios is released which fixes the fclk setting then I will of course try some bclk overclocking again.

I've tried these settings in red in the guide and it's not letting me come close to 400 BCLK. It doesn't mention the FCLK.

this is exactly what I have used in this guide it worked for me flawlessly but dont be afraid if you get red numbers in bios.

    250BCLK x 4(FCLK) = 1000 RealFCLK

Is there any real benefit for everyday use in bringing up the BCLK? Anyone got some pre and post benchmark results?

    Hello aceisme

No benchmark results as of yet but I still would like the BCLK at 400.

I'm not sure what else I can do to try and get it there. It's all new to us so I'm hoping someone might share their results/settings if they are able to get the BCLK to 350 - 400. My pc won't boot with 250 BCLK.
