I have a Z170 Sabertooth and 6700K on the way but the QVL list is short for the board. Can anyone recommend and good 64G/32G kit that is known to work well with the board?

64G Kingston Savage DDR4 2800MHZ or 2400MHZ are very nice and would be compatible

I opted for the G.SKILL TridentZ 32GB (2 x 16GB) F4-3000C14D-32GTZ kit. Guess I'll see how it goes.

How did you get on with the high speed RAM in the end?

I'm having issues with the motherboard and CPU combo you've built.

I've currently got the sabretooth z170 running 1702 bios, the 6700k and 16gB of Kingston HyperX Fury 2400 (2x8)

Unfortunately I'm constantly getting BSOD whilst trying to install the OS for the first time.

Little bit worried as I've read this from the intel pages:

Memory Types DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V

Which OS are you trying to install? And are you using a DVD or USB pendrive?

Trying win10, from a USB 2.0 tried both UEFI & legacy bios. same issues. 😞

The Trident Z works with no problems for me and XMP set speed and timings correctly. Any friends can borrow a stick of ram from to try? Also, have you pulled the cpu to check for bent pins?
