Crashcourse316- how long have you had your monitors? I ask because after 2 weeks my BLB has decreased and I don't have a problem with it. The main issue I have is with uniformity, both of yours suck as does mine. Your "more white" screen looks comparable to mine- much cooler bottom of the screen and darker + warmer top of the screen. In my case from top to bottom there's a 700K difference when measured with my colorimeter (and almost 30 cd/m2 darker at top 20% of screen)- top about 6013K and bottom 6700K. Fix that too while you're at it, Asus.

jp0209- The two in the picture were just purchased. Ran one for 4 days straight ( the one on the right) the one on the left was fresh out of the box. the first one already went back to newegg as it had extreme yellow tint on the top half. much worse that what your monitor is and way worse than the one that i have pictured on the right. Again though, I'm not going to bother with monitors that come out of the box like that (with the BLB) due to the fact that all four of my other Asus monitors (PA248Q) are almost perfect and were like that out of the box.

Also could you upload a picture of your Back light bleed? It would be nice to see what your at after 2 weeks+

and third thing i'll be picking up the Acer predator since I bought all the Asus stock up in the local store and they have some of the Acer version of this, I'll let you know how the 5th AU Optronics panel I get ends up being and if the build quality is any better/different than the Asus.

I had also hoped that the BLB would get better over time. But I'm convinced it doesn't. When I got the first one, which is decent, I also noticed some slight BLB. I immediately noticed it, because the 2 PB278Q's which I had before, had absolutely no BLB.
Now, I cannot see it anymore on the first one because the other ones I got are sooo terrible.

The Back Light Bleed isn't even my main issue. I understand that while their shouldn't be any Bleed essentially a little is "OK". But the fact that every one of the four displays I have gotten, all have the pure white to piss yellow gradient as you get to the top of the screen. It is the most noticeable out of everything It actually changes the colors in game while the back light bleed you don't notice as much. If they could jsut get me a panel that doesn't has a tinting issue and it has a good color consistency, while also giving me something that when I have the lights on in the room I can't see the bleed I would be "OK" with it. while in reality there shouldn't have even been a question about this monitor being 800$. I'm going to return this one for the fourth time and buy a temporary 144hz monitor for under $300. when I upgrade my build to the New Nvidia Pascal cards I'll look back into trying these out again. But for now I think I'm done with these. The extra 30 minutes is takes for me to get home after work everyday is starting to get annoying. missing out on my gym time.

I just returned mine for the same reason and also went back to my 144hz TN. A nearly 700 kelvin difference in color temp from top to bottom of (an $800) monitor is totally unacceptable. Good riddance.

How can you find out color temp difference? I do like this screen a lot otherwise, but it really bugs me somehow, like you said a product with this pricetag should not be any flaws whatsoever. I hope the 34inch screen coming won't have same issues.

I've send pictures to the company that sold me the product, let's see what they have to say about it.

You need a hardware device (colorimeter) and software (i.e., DisplayCal) that work together to calibrate and then measure screen uniformity, color, luminance, etc.

Sorry, just saw this question now. Here's the photo of my BLB after 2 weeks. Not bad at all. Total shame that the uniformity was so horrible.

Well maybe I'll give mine an other week too before I submit for exchange. Does anyone know if the new batch are starting to arrive in warehouses in the US?

What brightness level is that you using? I'm not sure but it seems to be bit better now in my situation...or i am just imagining. Anyway i am keeping this monitor because it seems to be really rare to get ips monitor without any bleed and it doesn't really bother me in real life use so...yea. Other than that it's pretty awesome. Also Asus rep said they won't rma it because bleed is inside "normal".
