I'm not sure what the number you have quoted is?
BIOS versions are 1504 (latest), 1402 or 1302 etc.

Chino has prepared a screenshot faster than I was able too

Here you can see that I am currently using version 1402, I've chosen not to update just yet because everything is working well for me and my system is currently stable. I'm also running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. My motherboard is slightly different to yours in that I have the M8 Hero Alpha.

PS. I have just discovered that you can take screen shots of the BIOS by pressing F12 with a USB pen drive connected.

Hi Granbax, your BIOS version is 5 versions old. I'd recommend updating it and installing ROG Front Base Driver 0.01.17 in Windows with Firmware V48 installed on the Front Base. This is the recommendation that ASUS provide in their literature for the Front Base.
The comparability list can be found here.... http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...050.1448973979
And the installation manual which is slightly outdated states to use the latest BIOS version here... http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...050.1448973979

From the ASUS Support Page for your motherboard.

Put the BIOS file on a freshly FAT32 formatted USB pendrive and use the EZ Flash Utility in the BIOS to do so.

Thanks guys that are giving me a great hand, definitely better than the Asus house that I is not even responding to emails. However I was able (thanks to you) to install the 1.1.17 version but when I install the v47 gives me the classic problem. So I tried to install one with the v48 inside but nothing to do. What do I have to do?

I am sorry as I am at work at the moment and so limited in the advice I'm able to offer.

Am I right to assume that the PC is detecting the ROG Front Base as connected to the motherboard but that the Firmware Update fails mid sequence?
I need to check my own set-up to see how the Front Base appears in Device Manager. I'll do it this evening and report back. It might be that we have to try flashing the Front Base using the old method which requires the ROG_EXT header to be disconnected and just the USB attached, but I've never tried this as it has always working with the ROG_Ext connection for me.

Maybe some-one else is able to offer better advice in the meantime? One thing for sure is that the Front Base is anything but plug and plug, it's a pain in the backside to set-up and get working correctly! Looks nice when it does work though
