I have a similar issue but not sure if it's the same. Just purchased my G20cb with GTX 1070 GPU. The HDMI that sits adjacent to the USB ports does not work, however both HDMI ports off the GTX 1070 work fine. After calling Asus, tech stated to use the HDMI ports from the graphics card. Is this the way to go?

The hdmi port near the usb & speaker port is for the intel Onboard Graphic output. that port will be deactivated when there is discrete graphics card (the gtx 1070)

Since you will get better graphics performance from your discrete vga card, the onboard CPU graphics is normally disabled in the bios by default.

If you really wanted to or had a good reason to enable the onboard CPU graphics in the bios, it is possible, but you just want to make sure it doesn't cause any problems with your graphics performance.

Below is an FAQ for the G11CD desktop to enable the onboard vga output which should be somewhat similar for the G20CB.
You may also need to install the vga driver in Windows as well. Thanks.
