So a friend of mine had one of the two fans in his GTX780 Direct CU II fail (the one closest to the PCI Bracket). Based on the sounds it emits i would guess that the bearing has failed.
He contacted me today to see what my ideas would be for fixing it. My first idea of just slap a water block on it and call it a day, was met with quite some resistance...
So now, the question is, where can i get a new fan for the cooler, or alternatively what aftermarket coolers fit the Direct CU II pcb?
Oh, and he no longer has warenty on the card... so modding the cooler is not a problem.
