I just noticed that there is a new version of the USB drivers available.

ASM1142 Driver V1.16.33.1 ( Beta Version 1.16.33.1)
Improve USB device compatibility, eg. Oculus VR.

This is not Asus that makes drivers 🙂 And Asus always more than 6 months behind "sharing" drivers
Official Asmedia yes 😉

I never take the drivers on the Asus website (too late) except bios or priority driver Asus

I went ahead and installed the ASUS version in the original post. Seems to have installed fine, no issues. I do use the ASUS versions on the premise that they've actually tested them with their hardware.
