I know that it is always best to check the comparability list for memory and motherboards, but I'm wondering if there is a specific reason why these modules will not POST in my Maximus V GENE mobo. I know it works, because it works great in other systems:

GSKILL F3-2133C9D-8GAB 4Gx2 CL9-11-10-28 1.65v
PC3-17000 Intel XMP ready.

Perhaps there is no reason, just stick with the list. However, I havent really paid much attention to compatibility lists for many years, and ive build dozens of systems and never had a problem, as long as I matched DDRx, and be sure I get a speed that fits the best speed for a non-overclocked system.
