My build:
4770k @4.2
16gb G.skillz 2400
2x Asus 760's 2gb
Maxumis Hero VI 1150
Samsung SSD
Corsair 860 watt PS

So Im sitting at the point i want to upgrade my graphics cards, 2gb vram was just enough when i put this together at the end of 2014.

What would people recommend? I have the budget to get a 980ti, i've never gotten the ti card before, always the x60 or x70 of the
generation. Should i wait til almost the end of the year for 1080ti? What are peoples thoughts? Thank you for your time.

I really want to upgrade my monitor past 1080p, so i figured graphics cards would have to be replaced first.

Hey TwodPepper, I'm in a similar boat with what you have in terms of graphics and processor capability (Dead on actually) I'm just using the ASUS MARS 760 in a Maximus Impact VI on a 4K Dell Monitor.

As far as the dual 760s go, they can handle a 2560x1440 with little to no issues (if you need to go beyond 60hz) However at 4k They get to the playable but kinda jerky 40-50FPS depending on the game.

So in my opinion, I'd tough it out. until the 1080ti comes out. Then you can go upgrade crazy.

Man, i really wanted to get the mars 760 after i bought mine, came out right after. Perhaps I will upgrade to a 1440 monitor before the card, but if your pulling off 4k on a mars, i should do just fine on 1440 til the 1080ti.
Thanks for reinforsing what thought. Im on a 24" 1080 and i want to move up to a Acer XB270HU 1440p.

wait whit 4K, not menny games supports it.
if you want a GPU, get a 980TI or wait until the new GPU lineup comes out.
for a G-sync 1440P i would go for the 980TI ( i have one my self and 2x 27" 1440P monitors ).
and in BF4 im around 90-144FPS on ultra. ( depending on server size and HZ they are on and maps )

@twodpepper

I forgot to mention something important. If you want an uptick in game performance for those higher resoultions, make sure to go into your nvidia control panel and enable triple buffering. This will keep the frame rate high with or without v-sync.
