Hero vii and 4 gpu's

Hello,
I encountered an issue when trying to put 4 gpus on this motherboard.
I have 2 x r9 390 sapphire, one r9 280x asus and one 7970 sapphire.
The problem is whenever i install the 4th card , either the r9 280x or the 7970 windows does not detect it anymore.
So i can run 2 x 390 + 1 r9 280x or
2x 390 + 7970.
Im using x1 riser for r9 280x and x8 for 7970, or vice versa. When i start the pc with all 4 cards, the 7970 dissapears from gpuz, if i remove the
R9 280x i have it back.
Is it possible to be the pci x8 stol fault? I dont have an extra x1-x16 riser to check it out.

Thanks

Hi adibandi

You're trying to run 4 amd gpu's on a board that only supports three amd gpu's, I will suggest the maximus vi extreme motherboard.

It's discontinued so you'll pay a premium if you want it.

Hello, thank you for answering
Wow , a 200€ board does not support 4 gpus 🙁 So there is no way i can make it run with 4? Even at x1 or x8 ? 🙁

As Nate152 said the board supports only 3 AMD gpu's so no way you can make 4 gpu's work.

Well, it only supports crossfire with 3. What you can check before giving up is what setting the x4 slot is on in the bios. Make sure it's at x1. Otherwise you disable the x1 slots when you insert a graphics card in that slot.
