LOL... no. Intel has lost their minds if they think so. If I am going to pay that much for a CPU, I am going xeon and get QPI back (which should have been left enabled in the first place.

I hope they aren't this dumb? I hope further that buyers aren't that dumb?

Price list..
Intel Core i7-6950X – BX80671I76950X ($2349.99 US)
Intel Core i7-6900K – BX80671I76900K ($1495.99 US)
Intel Core i7-6850K – BX80671I76850K ($889.99 US)
Intel Core i7-6800K – BX80671I76800K ($629.99 US)

At that kind of pricing, these processors better be binned to handle at least 5.3Ghz overclocks. Hell, no, nix that - they better ship 5.3Ghz stock.

5.3GHz at 16 cores not 10, ok, then they'd have a buyer even at those numbers... 😉

Hey,

Even at these rumour prices, i don't see any gamer benefiting a 10 (20ht) core. Maybe people who work in the multimedia department, i can see a plus side there. Still it costs as much as a whole computer lol.

Zero point for most people to upgrade and less for gaming...it would just be for the hell of it...for the fun of it...but at that price they will be firing another 12000 soon....
