Broadcom 802.11ac adapter causes a major performance drop with WPA2 security selected

Selecting "WPA2 Personal" mode in the router settings causes my internet speed to plummet from ~124Mbps to ~20Mbps. When using "WPA2/WPA Mixed Personal" the internet speed returns to normal. The drop in speed occurs on both the 5GHZ and 2.4GHz bands. I ripped an Edimax 802.11n USB adapter from another PC and plugged it into this one and found that WPA2 does not affect throughput. The installed driver is beta 6.34.223.5 for Windows 10 from the Asus website. Unfortunately, version 6.30.22.324.9 for Windows 8.1 produces the same result. I ticked "Delete the driver software for this device" before changing drivers and am not sure what to do next. WPA is evil.

BIOS: 2001
(edit) Now using BIOS 3008.
