I have the GL552VW since January 2016 and I brought the m.2 SSD samsung sm951 NVME. I litterally tried everything, even downgrading to older bios, I tried all versions and yet I can't get it to work.
After these 6 months of searches I figured out that I have to change the RAID settings, I appears that it is locked on AHCI, so it's up to ASUS to give us a bios update to let us more free to upgrade our laptops.
If anyone have a solution other than this to get this SSD to work would be nice.
PS: My friend have the MSI GL62 with the exact same configurations and the exact mainboard got it working directly without any bios configuration. So it's software problem with ASUS BIOS

Hi,

Welcome to the forums!

If you haven't seen post #7 in the thread below, showing the GL552VW model can come with different motherboards to support either PCIE or SATA M.2 SSDs (but not both at the same time), so suggest checking this first if you haven't already.
I'm located in the U.S. and unfortunately, am not familiar with the overseas GL552VW-DM141 model, so check this with your local ASUS support too, but if you want to send me a PM at cl-Albert with your notebook serial number, I'll look into it more.

Also consider posting a separate thread to make it easier for others to find.

Thanks.

According Total LBA Read and Written Definition it must just Decrease but it's playing up and down.
It passed all tests by Seatools but it worries me about suddenly HDD failure.
Has anyone same HDD Model and same Issue.??
