I owned an Asus G551JM, Core i7 4710HQ, 4GB RAM, 860m, +50mhz core clock and +100mhz memory clock, 1TB HDD
I would like to know, it is normal for it to show overheating? Even without stressing the GPU, the CPU itself is also overheating for 11%....:confused:

I got the same situation...wouldn't want to change the thermal compound as it would void the warranty

When I had an older G5* series laptop I had to use throttlestop. If yo guys search for it in the forums you should be able to find the thread with it or just google it. Its a program that will try and eliminate throttling on your processor. default values should work. Just run it and make sure its running in the background is all you have to do.

Here's the link to it:

(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )
