AMD USB3 Extensible controller

I have a Crossblade Ranger and an AMD A10-7870K Processor. When the processor is at stock frequency, my AMD USB3 Extensible controllers are showing in device manager in Windows10. If the APU is OC'd, the AMD USB3 Controllers are no longer there. My question is does the CPU control the USB3 or does the MB?

Well since this is still a Kaveri based CPU on socket FM2+ the AMD USB3.0 is provided by the chipset (A88X for the rear USB3 connectors).
Weird thing that they disappear when you overclock the CPU, never heard of that before 😕
Have you tried to reinstall the official ASUS chipset drivers for Win10? If that does not work AMD also has specific APU chipset drivers on their download page that do not require an 800MB download.

I talked to tech support and they will be releasing a chipset driver later to take care of this issue.

I found out going over 100 megahertz front side bus disabled my AMD USB 3.0
