1) Is there a Windows 10 specific driver for the VG248QE or should the Windows 8 version be used ? Without the driver, the monitor shows as "Generic PNP monitor" in Device Manager

2) This monitor was sold as a G-Sync ready monitor, but Nvidia stopped producing the end user installation kit. I've read in some instances G-sync can be enabled without a module ? Is this true for the VG248QE ?

you can enable/hack lightboost via 3rd party program,
