hi Arne, just curious, i have 2nd board with 1501 BIOS on it, never changed BIOS, looked it also, that one is also all grayed out/ can't do anything in the list. (DRAM Timing Control)

as for the board which now FLASHBACK to 2101, same thing again, can't change anything in DRAM Timing Control.

*** UPDATE *** CMOS CLEARING DID THE TRICK, now i can make changes!

Set CPU system agent voltage (vccsa) to 1.25
Set CPU input voltage (vccin) to 1.9v

Set CPU spread spectrum to disabled

F10 save and exit and see if that boots and if it is stable.

    EDIT:

In Dram timing control you can also try setting "rampage tweak" at the top to "2"
hi Arne, i have now set 14-14-14-34, command rate=auto
    then DRAM FREQUENCY = DDR4 3000

should i put for DRAM VOLTAGE (CHA, CHB) and DRAM VOLTAGE (CHC, CHD) = 1.35 ?

    ---> what is BCLK?

Arne, out of curiosity, why do we set the voltage higher than the manufacturer states @1.35V? (really out of interest to understand, not to bother...)

PS: if doesn't boot or not stable, just go back to "F5 defaults"? yes? and using CLEAR CMOS button?

That is a very big subject...Raja went over some of it here https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...o-Overclocking

Basically you are overclocking and in overclocking there are no guarantees. The manufacturer's stated voltages are a guide let's say...around which you will have to tweak and tune.

Yes, if it doesn't boot either clear cmos or use safe boot button to go back into bios and try other settings...

Hey Arne, 3000 with strap 100 can be a bit difficult for a H-E processor imc.

    I'd rather try 2933 or 3200 via 100:133...

(out of curiosity) 1) would it be less complicated if I had the CPu -->*i7-6850K? with my 128GB @3000Mhz RAM?*
or 2) is it maybe the "easiest" solution for me, to go simply with 64GB @2133Mhz RAM with my already owned CPU->i7-5930K?
(since i am not as tech savy as so many are and am not going to be overclocking)*

Probably yes. The 6xxx processors have a stronger memory controller.

    Why...did none of that work?

    Question

so here are the results. with the initial settings, system boots and goes into windows, as soon as I start anything or touch anything after LOGIN (only thing successful) it gets BSOD.

also noticed the following after BSOD, went into BIOS to change voltage, and in overview noticed RAM amount lower than 128GB. (although with default settings RAM is correct always at 128GB)

when I entered DRAM Voltage to 1.375, motherboard would get stuck on QCODE#60, but there is no guide nor manual for what the QCODES are...so no clue what QCODE#60 stands for. had to clear CMOS and set all to default again F5.

QCODE#60 after this and black screen, had to clear CMOS.
