    ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q problem

[LEFT]Hello just wanted to see if anyone else is having this similar problem with ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q. I recently purchased a PG278Q and I love it
but I'm having a problem. I was running the "Heaven Benchmark" the other day and I noticeed a "screen tear" at the top only (this happens in games as well).
I searched on line about this problem and found nothing. I have G sync on in Nvidia control panel so I dont know why this is happening. Any help would be
    appreciated. Thankyou

If you have another monitor then try it and make sure if its coming from the monitor. You need to narrow down your culprits and isolate the problem. It might even be a driver that is causing the problem as you can always do a clean install of the latest driver. If you have another video card then try it.If it is your monitor then i would suspect that the problem will only get worse so best to sort this out early on especially if you have to send it back.If it is less than 3 months old then i would expect a replacement.Make sure you are not overclocked and all settings are stock as then you can rule out a settings problem when checking the issue. If you have stutter also its most likely a driver issue as nvidia's drivers of late have been dodgy for some people. Their latest is supposed to be ok though.I am using 362.0 and having no problems.I think the latest is 365.19. Oh and check you connection cable.

ok... reinstalled the driver (365.19) and nothing is overclocked but it still continues. I don't have another monitor or gpu at the time but I will check when I can borrow them. I did
disable G sync and instead enabled V sync and stuttering happens but not the tear at the very top of the screen like when G sync in enabled. I did cap the frame rate just to make sure
using EVGA precision X so its not jumping around. Still getting the same result.

I have 3 of these and none of the problems you seem to be having.

Have you changed any of the monitor settings? Have you also tried setting it back to factory default?

    Hi superjonbon,

    Can you please kindly advice:
    1. Which resolution you are working with?
    2. If the monitor happened to be connected via a converter? Or was this a straight DP to DP connection?
    3. What options have you change from the Nvidia driver default?

Please kindly advice these details to enable us to help you.
