Is there a way to get rid of something from inside and make these lighter?

What is the weight of the 1tb hdd inside the laptop? 1 pound? 🙂
and maybe the blue ray/dvd ?

The HDD is 100grams and the dvd maybe 80ish ... together they are like 0.40 pound. I don't really think you can make it much lighter, maybe with some custom 3D printed internals, but as far as I know there are not many things inside that can be changed

If you need a lighter notebook perhaps you should have a look at the G5** series, 15" notebooks are somewhat lighter and more compact . 17" desktop replacement Gaming notebooks are not known for being light or easy to carry around. I use wheels myself when I have to go mobile. Mostly I stay plugged in in one place until I have to go to the next place.

You could swap the included HDD for an SSD to cut a bit of weight, but it isn't really going to put a dent into it overall. If you are looking for a lighter laptop and still want a ROG, maybe look into the G552 line. If you already have a G752 there isn't much to do.

Ultimately it's the cooling system that makes these laptops so heavy; all of those copper heat pipes and heat sinks, etc. so there's not really much scope to make them a great deal lighter. As Ancients said, if you want something lightweight perhaps you should look at one of the smaller & lighter laptops in the ROG range.
