The same thing happened to me. After installing the 1805 BIOS, my computer would not go pass the Asus logo. What I tried didn't worked out. It was bricked.
At the moment I'm out $20 and time because Costume Service asked me to RMA them the motherboard to have the BIOS chip replaced.
I just can't believe it. Now I'm waiting to see if they fix ASAP.

I have the same problem (since 1805).
Seems it is a problem witch the RAM (DualChannel).
I removed one of my two RAM-modules and i can boot and go to BIOS after a CMOS-Reset.
It now runs stable with only one RAM-module.

After successfully downloading the Z170 Pro Gaming 1805 BIOS from the ASUS web site (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/), I get an error when trying to flash my BIOS to 1805 from the previous version 1206.
I have a Z170 Pro Gaming mobo, i7 6700K and 2x 8GB RAM.
I repeated this several times with the same results, until I read about people bricking their mobos.
I think I'll wait for a new BIOS, acknowledgement from ASUS and the some feedback from the Z170 Pro Gaming community.
Pick up your game ASUS, advise people what's happening and remove this BIOS if necessary.

I also wanted to update my bios version from 1206 to 1805 and it was going well, but then (the processing bar was fully loaded/ 100%) it hanged and I couldn't go on exit or something with my mouse because the cursor didn't move. I thought that I just had to wait and I did that... for an hour. After that, I know you aren't supposed to do that, but I didn't know what to do so I shut my pc down. When I wanted to start up my pc I couldn't go to my bios.

I reset my cmos a few times, I pulled out 1 of the 2 ram-modules and my gpu. The other thing is that my keyboard and mouse don't light up so I can't press any keys (on http://ccm.net/forum/affich-73142-laptop-won-t-boot-after-bios-upgrade this page you needed to press the insert/scroll button).

I also read somewhere that I could replace my bios chip or get an rma. Does anyone know how long this is going to take because in a few days I have 2-3 months holiday so I don't want to wait for so long and I can miss €15-20.

Hi, last week I RMA the board with same situation and they send it back in 2 working days. The only problem is they re-flashing the 1206 BIOS back, I will wait another update BIOS to come out and see if it will be fine.

I wrote to the asus support page and they wrote back that they didn't have any problems with the bios version. And that I have to disconnect al my hard drives and put the asus cd in my cd reader, I hope this works.

Hello. It didn't work, I'm sending it back. I first thought of buying a new bios chip, but I don't think that is a smart move because the warranty (3 years) and I have it since August or September.
