Downgrading G752VY to WIN 8.1

Dear Forum

I have a G751JY running Win 8.1 in the following configuration, 32Gb/512GB/GTX980

I will need a second PC with the exact same configuration, but since my purchase last november, the G751JY is no longer in stock. The PC is running a professional media software, Coolux Pandoras Box in a custom programming that needs lot of performance headroom for stable operation. Coolux Pandoras Box does not support Windows 10 officially yet.

I can of course get a G752VY with the required specs running Windows 10. My question is: Can I downgrade it to running Win8.1? I see only drivers for Win10, but could I use the 8.1 drivers from G751?

Support for drivers and the skylake platform is where you will run into problems if any. I don't believe anyone has tried it yet and posted here about it.
Regardless I wouldnt downgrade over one application. Worst case you can try a dual boot set up.
