hey guys
i was having trouble using the backlights on my k501ux-ah71...
Basically i can not get the lights to turn on...
I downloaded the attack driver and i can turn the lights up and down on the screen but it doesn't effect the keyboard...
I was wondering if anyone had/has had similar issues with the backlights on their k501ux-ah71...

Try updating your bios to version 209 then uninstalling the ATK drivers. Go back onto the support page and download a fresh copy and reinstall. Try that out and let us know.Sometimes reseating the keyboard ribbon cable works too.

Hi,
Seeing the same problem. Got my laptop fixed by ASUS (RMA) and got a new mother board, since then no backlight.
Could it be a physical disconnection?

BIOS is updated to 209, and can't seem to flash it to a more advanced version.
Reinstalling latest ATK doesn't seem to work
