    Does G752 Support XG2 Station?

    Hi

    I wonder whether XG2 supports G752.

I heard have to support in the BIOS, the BIOS of G752 does it support?

    That's a good reading!

Which brings the following question. Can the G752 be charged over the USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port? ( I guess not, but I did not delve into this.)

Above all, it needs the support of the XG2 BIOS to work.

Currently, the G752 BIOS will show that there is no support.

The laptop will not charge via the usb-c/tb3 port. The laptop needs 110 watts of power, thunderbolt 3 supports a max of 100w.

As for the external gpu, it looks like ASUS might have enabled this with bios 219 for the G752VL. It states "enable dgpu", which means that it enables the dedicated gpu. I know for a fact that the dedicated gpu is enabled, since the laptop works, so the "D" may be a typo, and they may have meant "E" for external, or maybe they got the words dedicated and external mixed up. English isn't the engineer's first language.

Interesting. Where can Xg2 station be bought? I really wanna try out the Amd Radeon 480 costing 280 suppose to be better then 500 dollar video cards. But
then again. Nvidia would be better. But what the heck Amd would be fine since I'll use the external gpu under Windows. And in Linux I'll use my built in I hardly
game under linux. But love Linux and some of the game like left 4 dead 2

This cannot be bought yet and is behind on the launch. Everything from launch to what it will do, how it will work etc is all pure conjecture. Toms hardware is usually better than this. They must have hired a new staff writer that hasn't been scolded yet. Start publishing what ifs and guess work then credibility is lost.
