Rog g752 battery vs. AC performance?

Hello.

Just a quick battery question for my ROG G752.
I am currently playing Overwatch and when the laptop is on battery power it runs okay but if I plug my charger in, everything runs much more smoothly. Is this normal? I wouldn't have thought it should make a difference?

Thank You.

It is perfectly normal. Notebooks graphics never run on full power when they're running in battery. They underclock themselves since the battery cannot provide the power and voltage that's required. So you're fine, but I'd advise not to play any intensive titles on the battery as the games would kill it quickly

The battery will support full power graphics and cpu, and will not underclock if you do the following things:

1. Disable laptop power savings in the NVIDIA control center
2. Put the laptop into "Performance" power mode in the taskbar

This will significantly reduce your battery life while gaming, I'm talking ~30-45 minutes max. Just let the power savings do their thing.

Thanks to your answers.

Kind regards,

M
