Think of BW-E's terrible overclocking this way - it gives you cherry-picked, overclocked, iced down, ideal conditions, only Gobe would give it that much voltage on water 5960x performance, only at 50C with 24/7 voltages...

Isn't that pig pretty with some lipstick? ;-)

Are you able to get through handbrake with that? Voltage? Nice OC regardless!

From the cool guide:" with all important memory sub-timings set to the minimum internal spacing allowed by the chipset"

Any chance of posting what that is exactly?

Are these CPUs getting any better yet? like the average oc for 1.3 going up? Have my eye on one for the end of the summer maybe...but kind of competing with Titan X P now...

Expect OC to stay the same given the IPC gains. The memory stuff is quite simple; think about bus width.

Not sure if this info helps, but I am running the Rampage V E10 with a 6900K and Ripjaws DDR4 3000Mhz.

Managed to OC it by 37% to 4.4Ghz using the OC software that came with the MOBO.

Update: 4.4Ghz not stable for CPU optimized game like Rainbow Six Siege where all cores and fully loaded during game play, it would freeze the game and worst case the whole PC. Dropping it to 4.3Ghz solves the freezing issue.

4.4Ghz is okay for games like Insurgency and Arma 3.

    Regards,
    Ferdinand

Well, here's another beastly clue: If you stand at that bus stop, waiting for the right bus width, you will be waiting for a very long time. And no, it's not the X99.
