Really tempting to get the 1TB one... Specs are good, really good. 😛

But I just got a I7-6900, Rampage V Edition 10 and the new Asus GFX 1080 Founders edition. It's getting expensive... 😞

I will wait for the successor to the 950 Pro. I don't think that one in the article has the new 48 layer 3d VNAND. I could be wrong though.

I have a SM951 nvme, the benchmark result is good, but I don't really see any performance increase for gaming (loading time) and Windows 7 Boot up time compare to my 850 EVO 512GB.

Under Win 10 I have noticed a significant improvement in speed with my 950 Pro compared to my 2 850 Pros in RAID 0.

Here's some benches for the SM961 1TB model. I just got to grab me one of those... 😛

Guys what you think between Samsung 950 PRO with driver support vs SM961 OEM M.2?
What is better option... Looks like SM961 is little cheaper, 950PRO is available to me for 280 euro 512GB.
Is it really SM961 better?

I have the 1TB SM961 in my R5E and use it so far as only my Windows drive (though Star Citizen is also on it).

Pros:
1TB
Looks nice (i.e. you cant see it hidden under a graphics card), makes for a clean windowed case build
Fast
Temp monitoring in AIDA 64 works.
Doesn't get that hot at all when used mainly as a "read" i.e. boot drive.

Cons:
Samsung Magician software won't recognize it so you will never be able to update the firmware
However, Samsung never even issues firmware updates for the OEM drives away.
