Hi guys 🙂
Does anyone know why turning on XMP profile disables Anti-Surge Support and VRM Spread Spectrum on the Asus Z97 Maximus VII Hero?
Appreciate any help.

It depends on your memory. Some memory modules do not have XMP support, so the motherboard is smart enough to disable it automatically.

Hi MeanMachine

Apparently your ram supports XMP otherwise you wouldn't have the XMP option.

I disable cpu spread spectrum and vrm spread spectrum for overclocking but as to why XMP is disabling those two features it could be doing it automatically as Legolas says, you could try setting the ram manually and see if it still disables them.

What ram kit are you using in the maximus vii hero?

Thanks for your your reply Nate:)
I was helping a guy with his concern and couldn't answer it. So thought the more experienced guys here could help.
Legolas was kind enough to provide the explanation. Thanks anyway. 😉
