How to install EVGA GTX 970 graphic card / additional power supply?

Hi guys,

im thinking of buying the evga gtx 970 graphic card, i have a 230watt power supply and i was reading that i need an additional 180watt power, how do I install this to my ROG G20AJ? Do I have to connect the adapter plug into a second port in the back of my pc? Please help
