Maximus VIII Hero Poor Sound Quality

Hi

I have a new build with a Asus Maximus VIII Hero and when I use the Upmix function with Sonic Studio (Windows10), the sound has a strange "phaser" effect.. Almost robotic..
I use a 5.1 Hercules XPS 40 connected with 3x 3.5mm jack to the Mobo.
In my old computer also with a Realtek Onboard Sound Card, also with windows 10, the upmix fuction (used in windows) worked without issues.
Tried turning off all the Enhancements on Sonic Studio, tweaking the Equalizer, Frequency and bit depth withouth success.
Without Upmix on Stereo Sources (ex:Youtube, Spotify,...) only the 2 front/side speakers play sound and the others stay silent.. That means no Bass.. 😞
But with Upmix ON the quality is very poor..
Anyone with the same issue or ideas on how to improve/fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Suggest to update the new bios and re install windows 10?

All attempts to improve Sonic Studio sound quality that I had done are just waste of time.
I would highly recommend you to install Realtek X-Fi Mod drivers (6.0.17747) and MB5 software. If you just follow the instructions and manage to install, you wouldn't believe the sound quality of your sound chip with Creative MB5. It has very decent upmix also, just like linux upmix quality. Windows upmix was always sh**ty.
