Realtek High Definition Audio software not remembering speaker setup

Within the ROG Realtek High Definition Audio setup, I have 5.1 speaker configuration chosen, with only subwoofer selected as my additional speaker. The "enable bass management" option is also checked.

If I plug in headphones, the software will pop up an alert due to the port detection for the front panel, and ask what I plugged in. I confirm headphones, and headphones start working. If I then unplug my headphones, the software goes back to "Stereo" configuration, and not my 5.1 speaker configuration.
Is there no way to set 5.1 as my default?

Thanks.
