Samsung 950 temp

Thought I was going to use that Angelbird heatsink, but the lane allocation was an issue so I installed it in the M.2 slot. Thought the temps might be an issue, but just checked HWInfo and it looks OK to me. 39C.

I guess it's a pretty good temp. Any way to determine a load temp on the 950?

Just write some large file(s) to the 950 to put the controller under stress and the controller temp will spike up (and write speeds will decrease as the controller throttles).

I've put a heat sink on the controller of my 950 just in case - not that it's necessary though.

I have not seen my 512GB 950 Pro go over 39C.

I also do not see any improvement at all over my 850 Pro 512GB in boot times, loading times, or transfer times.

I'm seriously thinking about getting my 350 bucks back at Fry's. This was definitely a side grade not an upgrade.

Something must be wrong with your 950 Pro. My 950 Pro is significantly faster than my 850 Pros in RAID 0.
