Hi,

I have the Maximus VIII Hero, and since my case (Phanteks Enthoo Pro M) does just support 2x USB 3 on the front, I decided to connect the other board-USB pins (2x USB3, 4x USB2) to external connectors on the extension slots.

This does work fine for the ports USB1112 (as named in the manual) but not for USB1314, which share their pins with the ROG_EXT port.

My question is: What do I need to do to be able to use these 2 USB ports on these pins?
Is there an BIOS option I overlooked to disable the ROG_EXT port and just use the USB pins, or is there another trick involved?
