Maximus VIII and serial port

I've used Asus motherboards in several builds over the years and am now considering Maximus VIII for a new system. However, it appears this series doesn't support a serial console.

I am unable to find a mention of a serial console/COM1 functionality in several Maximus VIII user manuals. Have I overlooked something in those manuals? Or, is there another way to achieve a serial console?

almost all current boards will be legacy-free. Youd need a usb to serial adapter. I think that is what you are asking.

Thanks. I'll continue with the non-rog asus motherboards that maintain the 10-pin serial port header.
