    Hi antoine52200

That is an awesome overclock and very nice score, I find it intersting your core clock doesn't fluctuate.

Thank you for sharing your results.

Thanks! No problem, watercooled it doesn't move one Mhz. Same thing in all the games i've played. if anyone on the fence for a waterblock, don't just get one. it's worth every penny. i'm gonna play more with memory tomorrow and come back with some results with cpu at 4.8.

however, at theses speeds, on valley i'm hitting almost 90% of power limit when set at 126% so not much more room here...

    Hi iDisFatGuy

Welcome to the ROG forum !

I have the ROG Strix 1070 OC edition, I bet you have the standard edition and is normal.

You should still be able to overclock just as far as the OC edition with the power target at 112%.

Try lowering the boost clock a step at a time until you pass the benchmark.

    Awesome

Thanks a lot for this easy and comprehensive guide. These are my results so far:

Didn't really mess around with other settings too much so maybe I could find a way to go even higher but I'm pretty happy with the results, so I'm leavint it there. Guess now I should OC the processor :3

    Hi Chocolust

Welcome to the ROG forum !

That is a nice score and yes you may be able to go a little further with your overclock. Keep raising the boost clock until the driver crashes during the benchmark then back it off a notch. Then raise the memory clock until you see artifacting then back it off a notch.

your score should increase with your cpu overclocked.

Thank you for sharing your results, please come back and post some more results when you get your cpu overclocked.

    Hey Nate,

So yesterday I received my Asus 1070 Strix OC card and started to OC it little by little. I've noticed when running unigine valley on ultra, 1080p, and set any anti-aliasing on, the benchmarking will start with a 3 second freeze and then run fine afterwards. However, when I turn off anti-aliasing, the benchmarking won't freeze for 3 seconds. I noticed when playing Armored Warfare with TXAA x8 with ultra set to everything, the game will kinda lag. However when I set it to smaa it's fine. Though when I disable anti-aliasing everything seems smooth. Whats weird is when I do have smaa on, the game will still run 60 fps. It's kinda of a weird, crystal smooth look to the tanks when turning anti-aliasing off. Is it a game issue or have other gamers experienced anti-aliasing issues with this card? I apologize if this doesn't make sense and if it doesn't I'll be sure to reiterate what I said. At the moment I'm not near my pc right now so I won't be able to give any specs of my graphics card till later. I'll be sure to update this post when I get home later. Thanks.

EDIT: So here's the info regarding my graphics card. To not confuse anyone, the GPU Boost Clock is what it's set to, in this case it's 1935. I put in (+100) because that's what GPU Tweak ll is showing above the GPU Boost Clock.

    GPU Tweak ll

    GPU Boost Clock: 1935 (+100)
    Memory Clock: 8798 (+790)
    GPU Voltage: 100 (+100)
    Power Target: 120 (+20)
    GPU Temp Target: 92 C (+9)
    Frame Rate Target: 0 (+0)

Also, when I'm benchmarking with the Unigine Valley software, on the top right I'll see something like this:

    FPS: 187
    GeForce GTX 1070
    Graphics: 2126 MHz
    Memory: 4304 MHz
    Temperature: 58 C

Correct me if I'm wrong but is this what it is?

    Graphics: 2126 = GPU Boost Clock: 1935
    Memory: 4304 = Memory Clock: 8608?
