Upped Voltage to 100%, still getting artifacts in gaming with mem at just 9100 :/
May have to try using another OCing program, for whatever reason GPU-tweak only allows me 112% power limit, and I am wondering if that's what's stopping me now.
Flashing the faster version's BIOS may be an option too to get 120%, but that's a tad risky...
Hexus sure had no problem getting it to 9400mhz 0_o http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphi...70-oc/?page=12
They also claim they did so with no extra voltage either... Thinking I just lost the silicon lottery...

It could be the standard Strix 1070 is limited to 112% power target, I wouldn't sweat it though.

Unfortunately it seems the silicon lottery gods were against you, you'll have to back down the memory clock until the artifacting stops.

Asus definitely bins the lower-clocked chips, they don't waste a single one on the lower price point as I'm learning first hand...

Max OC is 1818mhz core, boost to 1987 max, and 9040mhz memory...

That's less than the higher clocked reaches at stock with no power limit or voltage extension...
Ugh, what a bad purchase choice. Wish Newegg had returns, I'm missing out on 3 fps in 4k here, that's a damn big deal to me.

Can you post me a screen shot of GPU Tweak after you've run the benchmark?

I fist used GPUTweak but I missed the FPS (+info) that comes with Afterburner.
So I can only share my result that was done by Afterburner.

Name:	uni.JPG
Views:	106
Size:	52.4 KB
ID:	58392

    Core set at 2088
    Mem set at 9408
I kept the voltage stock. Don't really know how to set it up in the Afterburner Tool.
    Cooler at 100% 58C - 61C

The core could get higher, I did some benchmarks and reached a core from 2146.

    Grid2, Dirt Rally and TheDivision

    Hi JargonHolpick

Welcome to the ROG forum !

Whoa, now that is an impressive overclock on stock voltage too !

Up to 2146MHz on the core is outstanding and a 1400MHz overclock on the memory is excellent too.

Very nice indeed, thank you for sharing your score and overclock, you've done the best so far.

was basically able to reach what you have also sadly my core hates extra voltage lol.

    Hi Tazberry

Welcome to the ROG forum !

Why would you say sadly? If you got your Strix 1070 to what JargonHolpick did that's great and an excellent overclock, that's far better than mine can do.

Can you post your score and gpu tweak settings please?

I have some new stable numbers:

-Core 2139 with peaks of 2156 (very small and very short) and dips to 2126
-Memory 9428 (in Afterburner it is noted as 4714)
-Voltage control 100% (locks at 1075mV with small peaks of 1090mV)
    -Power 120%
    Temp max 59°C @ 100% Fan speed

These values are stable for 3 hours of gaming (TheDivision, Shadow Of Mordor, Grid2 + Grid Autosport) and 1 hour benchmarking Heaven and 1 hour Valley.
Scores of Valley do fluctuate without logic explanation.

Anyone able to give some more details about the scores in Valley?
Higher core clock doesn't always give better score nor better FPS.
What about the memory? What do these change do at the scores of Valley or overall FPS?

Maybe I have to mention that my I5 6600K is set on 4.5Ghz while benchmarking.
Systemmemory is set on XMP values.

I might go higher but because of the voltage lock I think better waiting for someone who can unlock it.
My save values for gaming and 24/7 use are:
    -core +31
    -memory +1200
    -Power 115%
    -TempLimit 85°C

    CPU set on 4.2Ghz

I'm not sure we can unlock the voltage as Nvidia caps it, some manufacturers might let you with a vbios mod but I personally don't fool with that.

    Nice overclock again !
