    Hi MonkeyBoySte

Welcome to the ROG forum !

That is an excellent overclock, you're only 2 FPS behind me with a 2500k.

    Nice going !

Did you get your free year of Xsplit Gamecaster?

Have not overclocked yet. Can not get it to benchmark in anything beside 1920X1080. I have a 1920 X1080 monitor so that may be the issue.

    Hi dgtots

Yeah if your monitor is native 1080p that's what you'll have to run the benchmark at.

I have two scores for 1080p, one with the nvidia control panel set to performance, the other set to quality,

    Hi Syntraxx

Can you show us your GPU Tweak II settings so we can see your overclock too? That is if you have an ROG Strix 1070.

    Thank you

So I followed your guide, and settings and what not but unigine valley kept crashing even when I would put my clock speeds lower than OC Mode set by GPU tweak, it would still crash so not entirely sure why.

So I went on a mission for several hours after this to learn how to overclock my Strix OC edition.

    Core Clock +100
+110 resulted in artifacting in Valley, +100 with 100% GPu voltage and 0% voltage resulted in no artifacting but +110 with 100% or 0% GPU voltage = artifacting.

    Memory Clock +900
Heaven crashed after +910/920 (910 was either hit or miss for crash but 900 never did.

    GPU voltage
    +18%

3DMark kept crashing with anything less than 18%

After these settings were established, I ran some Realbench and other stress testers to ensure stability, looking good so far.

I guess my Strix isn't that great after seeing lots of other peoples overclocks.. Question is with the people and higher overclocks.. How are you not ghetting crashes/artifacting in these programs?

After several tweaking in Heaven, Valley, 3Dmark, Realbench and Cinebench to ensure stability of my card, these are my final settings. I'm curious how my 1070 compared to you guys at your most stable overclock.

NOTE: I did test at 1080p to compare with others but 1st monitor is 1440p so will do a native test.

1440p results are quite shocking, despite setting Nvidia to use max power, Optimal resulted in 2 more average FPS than maximum power.

So, my 1440p test results with Nvidia Control power management mode set to: Optimal Power

Hi people ! after a few weeks of testing, I cant get better than 15500 point at 3dMark, my Strix 1070 uses the latest bios (micron fix) and my mem is at +1000 but the score at 3dmark wont change a bit, sometimes, it will be lower... am I getting limited by my 4770K @ 4.3 ghz ? graphics score is between 18000 and 20000 (firestike) upon different OC profile under GPU Tweak II !!!

I see people all around with overall scores of 17 000 + at the same bench (Firestrike default)

    any clues ?

    Cheers

    HI Stewpot,

Install CPU-Z and check under memory type to see if you have samsung or micron memory. If you have micron memory got to the Asus Support Center and install the latest vbios update, this should allow you to overclock the memory further.

Overclocking your cpu will also give you a better score.

To get rid of the screenshot you don't want click "edit post", then click "Go Advanced", then scroll down to "Manage Attachments", here you will have the option to delete any screenshot/picture.

    Hi SimDuch

Please run the Unigine Valley Benchmark at 1080p, ultra settings with antialiasing turned off, this will give us a better idea where you stand with your overclock.

This is what I get at 1080p with the nvidia control panel set to quality.

ok will run it again tonite. Speaking of it, the Nvidia Panel, as I am brand new to Nvidia, is there anything to adjust beside the texture filtering slider to get better fps ? Do you use the slider in the "Adjust image setting with preview" tab or in the "Manage 3D settings" tab ?? what is the difference ?

    thx
