At the same time my card struggles to get more than 8600 in memory OC with hynix.

Edit: Trying valley bench Extreme HD I got a max score of 4535 with +107/+691. I was able to up it to +122/+750 but no real improvement. Core clock peaks at 2152@1.081v and will not go further. Some people mentioned 1.093v but I have not seen my card running it in my testing. Also bumping CPU OC by 50 mhz seems to have improved score by a few hundred points.

    Hi Leeta,

Try locking the clock speed and voltage (1.093v), I show how to do it with Afterburner here.

    Hi sigmafia

How is the overclocking going? Post us some screenshots of Unigine Valley and GPU Tweak II, single gpu and sli scores please.

You don't need the vbios update if it's telling you, you have the latest version.

So I just updated my whole system apart from my graphics card. For some reason now I can only get +84 on my GPU boost clock, same for my memory it only allows me to go +480.

The sliders will not allow me to go beyond these numbers.

I did remove the fans and replace it with an AIO unit, the NZXT Kraken X62v2. I am wondering if I need to plug something into the PCB to tell it that it does have cooling hehe.

    Any idea why?

    Thanks.
    Hi cepheus74

It looks like you have an excellent overclock to me,

    Max GPU Clock - 2139MHz
    Max Memory Clock - 9216MHz

There should be a usb cable to connect to a usb header on the motherboard for the motherboard to recognize your kraken x62.

Thanks! By locking it to 1.093v I was able to up clockspeed to 2164. I am not hitting any limits so it might be possible to push it further if I tweak it a bit. Just increasing clockspeed at the moment will cause it to drop back to 2152 though no crashes. Locking voltage in place made card dead stable so I assume default voltage points were too low so when I have time I will tweak those and unlock variable voltage again. Card really started sipping power, unless readings are inaccurate it peaks at 199w atm.

    Wow, very impressive !

Nice to see locking the voltage to 1.093v got you a higher overclock.

I'm pretty sure GPU Boost Clock of 2164MHz is the highest so far in this thread, you have the record here for the highest core clock.

    Way to go !

    Post us screenshots please.

After a bit of tweaking it went up to 2177. Valley isnt the best because memory OC was only +500ish.

https://imgur.com/a/FI6sNBs for results. Played some BFV before benching and it was dead stable all the time.

    That is awesome Leeta !

Are you able to run the benchmark at 1440p with no AntiAliasing ?

You can use The DSR Factors setting in the Nvidia control panel if your monitor is 1080p. Just check the boxes then click ok and apply. Open Unigine Valley and you should be able to select higher resolutions.

Just curious what scores you get at 1440p with no AA.

Wow the difference 1440p makes. 2177 is not stable at all. It hits temp/power limits hard. I am hitting temps over 50 celsius and 120% tdp limit. My card always downclocks if it hits 50c. 2164 is semistable with one dip to 2100mhz at one point in the bench. I think it would be doable with a better cooler but not with stock. Gonna test a bit more.

All right, sounds good Leeta, I'll be waiting for your results.

50c is almost water cooling temps, you're doing great there.

After further testing i am sure that an AIO would accomplish nothing. I am hitting 120% powerlimit so easily at 1440p+DSR that I had to drop core voltage to 1.031v and clockspeed to 2126. Anything higher than that and I will get occasional powerlimit dips. At 1.050v they happen like once per bench but that still is one too many. I think my max was 4750 score with some clock dips in earlier 1440p bench. Was my 1080p testing not hitting my card to the limit even if Afterburner showed 99% GPU usage? Is it advisable to have two OC profiles for 1080p and 1440p+? Is there any way to tweak further performance without hitting dreaded power limit?

Opening case and maxing out cooling at 1.031v I'm not even hitting 40c during 1440p max load. In the future I think I'll bench in 1440p+ to find proper stable OCs, thanks for suggesting it.
