    Hi Nauge

Welcome to the ROG forum !

It could be your cpu slowing you down but I would still expect a better score with the 2500k cpu., make sure you have all Antialiasing settings turned off in the benchamrk and set to application controlled in the nvidia control panel.

Is both your cpu and gpu ramping up to speed when running the benchmark?

Hi, Thanks for the response! Yeah, I did those and also did the power management thing under the nvidia control panel. However, I still have the same results. I did notice that the GPU speed on the "GPU tweak II" software didn't budge but stayed at 110% the whole time the benchmark was running, is this normal?

You are propably talking about the power target and not the gpu speed.Set it all the way to the max.
    My results with your settings

Mine are lower on 1080p too compared to other people.Probably a cpu limitation(even though it doesn't make much sense with my cpu @4,2Ghz)

    1440p x8 AA http://i.imgur.com/rJF45xm
    1440p no AA http://i.imgur.com/0xMizBj.jpg

At 1440p my results are about the same with everyone else.Keep in mind all these test are with my gpu overclocked.
    At 1080p always lower.

Redo the tests with max power limits and temp limits, core voltage and core clock at +30

Edit: I saw that we both had intel hd grahics enabled so i did a new test at 1080p with intel hd graphics disabled and i got 135fps. Interesting results actually

I did a little overclocking but I wanted to get close to baseline as everyone else, that's why I was comparing the OC profile settings that everyone else has. Btw, my monitor only goes to 1080p so I was expecting higher numbers than what I was getting. How did you disable your intel graphics card? just unplugged it from the monitor?

    Hi Nauge

In the bios set the primary display to PCIE or PEG and disable render stand by.

Advanced tab, system agent configuration, graphics configuration.

Be sure to connect your monitor cable to your ROG Strix 1070.

Most people post the results of their own overclocking and not the manufacturers default oc profile.
You can go to motherboards bios and disable the igpu and test if you get better results

This was the best I could do with over clocking the card. Any higher on the boost clock the computer locks up and any higher on the mem clock I get the checkerboard patterns.Click image for larger version.

    Hi Nauge

I would say it's likely your cpu holding you back and I suspect your ROG Strix 1070 has the micron memory is why the memory isn't overclocking as far.

That is correct I do have a micron instead of a samsung. Oh well, thanks all for the help though I really appreciate it
