Well my memory was only stopped at +880/900 due to Heaven crashing.. It probably could go higher for other stuff. I lowered it to 880 cuz of the stick +8888Mhz haha

The problem I have with the Micron memory is whatever i put above +500 will not affect my bench results... in some cases it will lower my score... any hint on that ?

    thx

    Hi SimDuch

It sounds like it's not fully stable above 1000MHz, you might want to keep it at 1000MHz which is very good for micron memory.

So thought I should post my results here as well.
My 1070 08G strix clocks really bad on the micron memory even after the vbios update.

+350 (700) is max I can go without the card starts to crash etc.
+90 core is max I can go, but the difference from like 80-90 is none in benchmarks I tried.
+ voltage does nothing, same results with clock even with 0-100%

Unique Valley 1080p, Extreme HD preset with above clock.

Also tried Valley with no AA, Ultra, 1080p.
Did not really make a big difference between all stock vs above clock.

Left = stock, right = OC above.

    Hi Nivity

    I call your testing inconclusive.

Try running the ExtremeHD test in silent mode, then run the ExtremeHD test with your overclock and compare your score.

Or better yet post them for us.

I do see what you're saying Min and Max FPS didn't move much but your average FPS and score greatly increased.

Tried Asus GPU Tweak II but I just hate that program
I prefer to not have the program running, but still apply the OC.

Tried it anyway but same results.

I then installed EVGA and put, 80 core, 396 memory and max volt, power.
Got a better score, its not 100% stable however, sometimes it crashes in unique after the run is done, weirdly, when the score shows and the background loop is going.
Gonna try and tweak it more and then see how games run if they are stable etc.

Yeah that looks pretty good to me, that's a 10 FPS increase just from overclocking your gpu, that puts you pretty much at the GTX 1080's performance level.

At 1440p in silent mode I scored 100.0 FPS, with my overclock I scored 111.8 FPS so you're within a 2 FPS performance gain from me which is almost nothing when you're at 138.9 FPS. Don't feel discouraged yours is overclocking just fine and scoring well even with your 3570k.

Make sure the voltage and power target are both set to the max.

I restored your post I hope you don't mind.

I tried running that in Extreme HD however and it crashed instantly.
It seems that I can run some benchmarks fine with higher clock, then in some it crashes.

Like Extreme Hd crashes but Ultra,no AA does not.
Firestrike is fine but Timespy crashes.

The most stable I get is still 90 core, 350 mem. If I want it to be stable everywhere, all benchmarks, all games.
So around 5500 score in Ultra 1080p Heaven, 5800 is with 400 memory which works in just that benchmark, but nowhere else ;/

Funny part is that voltage % does nothing at all.
I do not get any higher memory clock stability with 100% voltage (power is at max all the time).
So 0% is the same as 100% regards to max clock I can get ;O

Feel this clock is not even worth running either, might as well just go with stock.
    '
Might try and find a friend to try the card in his computer just to see if its something with mine.
But ye, I guess I should be happy I got the 1070 strix OC for a bargain even If it does not clock well.
A bit dissapointed though in the 1070 series when they decided to swap samsung -> micron and well, lottery.

My old Asus 1060 strix with samsung clocks like a beast.

The voltage is more for the boost clock, it doesn't help with memory overclocking. You could try setting the voltage to 100% and see if you can squeeze more out of the boost clock, if you've done this then it looks like you've hit the max overclock.

Don't forget your free year of Xsplit Gamecaster to show off your fabulous gameplay, you can stream and/or record right to youtube.

It's a nice bonus from Asus.
